The land was situated as follows: Ashley, 459 acres ; Selwyn, 4919 acres ; Ashburton, 162 acres; Geraldine, 196 acres; Waimate, 100 acres ; town of Ashburton, 2 roods; town of South Bakaia, 3roods ; town of Geraldine, 1 rood; town of Arowhenna, 3 roods.
