November 7. Tongariro, p.s., 39 tons, Clarke, for Kaiapoi. Master, agent. The Wanaka sailed North this afternoon. A brigantine from the South was signalled this morning. ~ ENGLISH SHIPPING, The New Zealand Shipping Company’s ship Eakaia, Captain Tristan, left Gravesend on August 28th, and proceeded to Greenock, where she took aboard emigrants, and finally sailed for Lyttelton on September 7th. The Glenlora, barque, 764 tons, commanded by Captain Scotland, late of the Eangitikei, left Greenock for Lyttelton on September 18th. The Eangitikei, bound here, was spoken on September 3rd, in 14 N., 25 W. The following vessels were despatched by the Agent-General for New Zealand during the month of July :—The Waitangi, from Plymouth to Canterbury, with 258 emigrants; the James Nicol Fleming, from the Clyde to Otago, with 248; the Wairo, from Plymouth to Wellington, with 199; and the Otaki, from the same port, to Auckland, with 213 emigrants, making a total of 918 emigrants for the month. Five vessels will be despatched during the present month from Plymouth aud the Clyde, to be followed by others during the months of September, October, and November. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Auckland, November 6. Sailed—Eotorua. Passengers for Lyttelton, Mr and Mrs Allathorn, Mrs Turner, Messrs Von der Heyde, Palliariet, Fletcher, Tooth, Steele, and Horton. Wellington, November 6. The ship St. Leonards arrived last night. She left London on the 30th July. Had a fair average passage. Brings about fifty passengers, all well. No casualties occurred on the voyage.
