* The revenue collected at the Customs on Thursday amounted to £466 2s 3d. The following were the items;—Wine and spirits, £196 Is 3d; beer, £62 10s; cigars, £l6 11s 7d ; tobacco, £ls 10s 6d ; tea, £l6 4s 6d ; sugar, £8 6s 8d; malt, £4O 10s; hops, £62 11s 9d; drapery, £10; sundries, £36 16s. At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board on Thursday, 2230 acres 2 roods were disposed of, realising £4461 The laud was situated as follows : —Ashley, 1203 acres 2 roods; Selwyu, 20 acres ; Ashburton, 489 acres; Geraldine, 298 acres; Waimate, 220 acres.
