POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office for the following places as under, subject to necessary alterations MONDAY. October 15th. For Otago, overland, at 6 a.m. For Otago, per Tanpo, at 11 a.m.; late letters, 11.20 a.m.; railway station, 12.10 p.m. train. For Wellington Nelson and Australian Colonies, per Claud Hamilton, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Wellngtou, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. For Akaroa, per Tongariro, at 4.45 p.m. Note—Late letter box, guard’s van, must not be used for Tui’s or Tongariro’s mails. TUESDAY, October 10th. For Otago, overland, at 11 a.m. For Wellington, Westport, and Greymonth, per Luna, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Local mails, see Postal Guide No. 16.
