There are two inches of snow on the Shipka Pass. It is believed that the campaigning in Bulgaria is virtually ended. The Russians remain entrenched during the winter. INTERPROVINCIAL. [PEB PEESS AGENCY.] Timaexj, October 6. Mr Moss Jonas disposed of a parcel of 225 shares in the Union Insurance Company by auction, which realised 12s 6d and 14s premium. There was a spirited bidding throughout. [FEOM ODE OWN COEEESPONDENT.] Ddnedin, October 6. The " Q-uardian" to-day announces the publication of its last number as a separate journal. It says that the proprietary, after spending £15,000, is convinced that two morning papers cannot pay. Over fifty hands are thrown out of employment by the change.
