THE DOMAIN BILL.

His Worship the Mayor has received the following letter from the Hon. John Hall with reference to the Domain Bill: “ Wellington, 3rd October, 1877. “To his Worshipful the Mayor of Christchurch. “Sir, —With reference to the telegram which you forwarded to me on the subject of tbe Domain Bill now before Parliament, I beg to state, that after consultation with some of the other members from Canterbury, I have decided not to press the Bill this session. “ I believe it will be found, when the subject comes to bo more fully discussed, that very little difference really exists between those who take an interest in the matter, and that an amended Bill to be introduced next session can easily be agreed upon. “ I am, Sir, your obedient servant, “JOHN HALL.”
