At a meeting of the Cricketers' Association last night they reconsidered their former decision regarding the offer to the Australian Cricketers, and the secretary was instructed to write to Mr Conway, informing him that the Wellington cricketers were willing to oiler the Australians half the gross proceeds of the gates, booths, stand, &c. PARLIAME NTARY. Last Night's Proceedings. Wellington, October 4. The following Bills were read a second (hue and passed through committee; read a third time and passed :—The Tokomairiro Farmers' Club Bill ; the Clyde Keserve Grant Bdl; the Lawrence Municipal Reserve Leasing Bill ; the Otago Girls' and Boys' High School's Bill; the Rabbit Nuisance Act Amendment Bill; the Oamaru Reserves Bill. The Forest Trees Planting Encouragement Bill was read a second time, and referred to the Waste Lands Committee. The Wanganui Harbor Endowment and Borrowing Bill was rend a second time. In Committee of the whole, an address to the Governor to place a bonus of £IO,OOO on the Estimates, one-half to bo given for the first 500 tons of beetroot sugar produced in the North Island, and the other half for the same quantity in the Middle Tsland, was agreed to, and the House rose at 12.35 a.m.
