PARLIAMENTARY INCIDENTS.

[from the correspondent of the press.] Wellington, September 26. At last the long-talked-of no-confidence motion has been moved, and the House has now adjourned till to-morrow. The debate will not be finished, probably, till the end of next week. It is impossible to say at present how members will go, but the Opposition members have undoubtedly selected the weakest portion with which to attack the Goverment. The plaintiff’s costs in the late “ WakaMaori ” case have been taxed by the registrar here at something over £IBOO. The Govern - ment’s costs will probably be heavier.
