Indecent Conduct.—Jacob Swenson, charged with committing an act of exposure in the presence of some females, at the Selwyn Asylum, was remanded until the Ist August for the attendance of witnesses. Valueless Cheque.—Richard Tubman was charged on remand with having obtained money from Gr. M. Dann, Oxford Hotel, by means of a valueless cheque. Inspector Feast told his Worship that Mr Dann had been laid up for a week, and found now that he could not identify accused. Under those circumstances it would be useless to go on with the case. Paterson alias T. H. Fielding answered to his bail, on the remanded charge of having embezzled moneys belonging to the Darebin Shire Council, Victoria. Inspector Feast stated that a steamer would be sailing for Melbourne on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning. His Worship said he would extend the bail until Friday, at 10 a.m. Transfer.—A transfer of the license of Barrett's Hotel was granted, from Edward Cookson to Wm. Maples.
