It is semi-officially stated from St. Petersburg that the Russian ambassadors from Loudon, Berlin, and Vienna are returning to their respective embassies. They are not charged with any special negotiations, but have instructions to re-assert the instructions given by Russia prior to the war. In the House of Commons last night the Hon. R. Bourke said that lie believed that the Powers interested could not concur with the action of England. Sir Stafford Northcote stated that the Government had no desire to impose belligerent rights, its only object being to protect the Suez Canal. INTERPROVINCIAL. [per press agency.] Auckland, June 9. Manuel de Fatty has been arrested, charged with a breach of the Customs Distillation Act, by having an illicit still on Great Barrier Island. He was remanded until Tuesday; bail was accepted—himself in £SOO, and two sureties of £250 each. A deputation of licensed victuallers interviewed the Hon. Air Whitaker regarding the equalising of the Auckland license fees with those of other parts of the colony. Air AVhitaker said that the recommendations must first come from the License Commissioners.
