A Turkish governor has been appointed to Sukum-Kaleh. INTERPRO VINCI AL. [per press agency.] Auckland, June 11. Arrived, Nellie and Marion, from Lyttelton. Fatal Football Accident. At the football match on Saturday, Air Frank Pilling sustained a concussion of the spine. His left arm and logs are paralzyed. He was thrown by a player, who gave him the shoulder side-ways, sending him with headlong speed several yards, causing him to fall with great violence. He is not expected to live. 2.10 p.m. Mr Frederick Pilling, step-son of Colonel Do Quincy, who was injured at the football match on Saturday died, this morning. He was in the act of taking a run, and had successfully passed all but two of the opposite side, when he lowered his head and came with great force against the son of Colonel Hanltain, striking him with his head on the left arm, which pressed against his side. Pilling immediately fell all of a heap, and was unable to rise. When asked what was wrong, lie said he felt as if everything had given way. Medical examination showed that he had sustained concussion of the spine. Tetanus symptoms set in at ten this morning, followed immediately by an epileptic lit, in which he died. Deceased was sensible from the time of the accident, and conversed cheerfully, laying great stress on the tact his side had won. He had played brilliantly.
