CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, June 0. (Before Dr. Back, J.P.)

Drunk and Disorderly.—Robert Allen, charged with drunkenness and resisting the police, was fined 10s; Joseph Bradley, for being drunk while in charge of a horse, was fined 20s ; a first offender was fined ss, and Thomas Allen 10s. A second charge against accused for wilfully damaging a cab was dismissed, as the Bench held that a civil action must be taken to recover the amount of damage done. A charge of drunkenness against Margaret Ellison was adjourned until the 16th instant, as accused was still in the hospital, and a charge against John Hill of being drunk and ill-using a horse while iu that state was adjourned until the 12th inst.

LYTTELTON. Saturday, June 9. [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Lunacy from Drink. —Griffith Fleming, on remand from Christchurch, was dismissed, having fully recovered.
