SCHOOL HOURS.
To the Editor of the Globe. g IB) —J would suggest to the various public school committees the desirability of altering the school hours. In summer it is all very well for the schools to open at 9 a.m., but I would point out that in the case of large families, where no servant is kept, it is impossible for mothers to turn out their children with any degree of punctuality. Under these circumstances, would it not be well to have the school hours as follows :In the summer months, from !) a.m. to 3 p.m.; and during the winter months of May, June, July, and August, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is not too make this desirable alteration for the remainder of the cm-rent year. Yours, &c, A MOTHER. June 2fi&, 1877,
