MAIL NEWS. (Per Kingarooma, via Bluff.) Melbourne, May 28. Nearly all the news is anticipated by the San Francisco nlail or by cable. Mr Bourke, Under Secretary, replying to a question in the House of Commons, said no treaty existed guaranteeing the neutrality of Eoumania, which the European Powers considered to be pai-t of Turkey. The Khedive of Egypt, notwithstanding the dissuasion of France, has promised to send a contingent under his third son Prince san Pasha to assist Turkey.

One dated April 18th, states that Vienna advices are that Austria will occupy Bosnia and Herzegovina when the Russians cross the Danube. Lord Derby vindicates the action of the Government, re the protocal, adding it was best to say nothing about our future policy. On April 27th, the Powers rejected the Turkish proposals for mediation. The Ringarooma arrived this morning. She brings ten saloon and fifteen steerage passengers, and 203 tons of cargo for all ports, She sails at 3 p.m. for Dunedin. Passengers for Lyttelton—Mr Glenn, Mr and Mrs Bailey, and 24 tons cargo.
