Our readers are doubtless aware that the evidence adduced at an inquiry of this sort is forwarded to the authorities at, Wellington to express their opinion upon; and il is is for them to say whether the master or officers are to blame in any way. There has now been ample time for a decision'to be come to in re the Isabella Ridley, and in fairness to the officers of the vessel, and to the port itself, the authorities should let the public know the result.
