[Per Press Agency.] Auckland, April 25. Fifteen tenders have been received for the first section of the Kaipara-Punui Railway, they have been sent to Wellington. Wellington, April 25. The Hon. the Premier is to speak at a banquet at New Plymouth to-morrow night. Ashburton, April 25. A newspaper,; to be called the Ashburton M 'il, is to be published here shortly by a gentleman lately connected with several West Coast newspapers. Dunedin, April 25. A collision took place on (he railway line at Milton yesterday evening. One train ' was knocked oil the line. No one was hurt. The Corporation banquet cannot take place, as the Governor leaves for Invercargill tomorrow. Special arrangements have been made for the trip, which will be accomplished overland in nine and a half hours. The balance-sheet of the National Insurance Company shows nett receipts, including the balance brought forward from previous halfyear, to bo £51,076; losses, £22,561; protit, £28,511. The directors recommend placing £15,000 to the re-insurance fund. Payment of a dividend of 10 per cent, and a bonus of 6d per share was passed, leaving £Bsll to be carried to next half-year.
