White applied to have an order obtained bv his wife, Lydia Whi to, for the support of herself and family 1 varied, on the ground of her continued intemperance He (complainant) was desirous that (he order made by his \\ orship should be devoted solely to the support- of the children. The police report confirmed complainant’s statement as to his wife’s habits. His Worship granted the application, and directed complainant- fo pay the weekly amount to Air March, who would see toils disposal. Committing a Nuisance. James Cameron, charged with committing a nuisance in a railway carriage on the southern line, was fined IDs. Rescuing a Cow and Gale. —Godfrey 8 cal ski was charged, on summons, with rescuing a cow and calf from Michael Gicrschisky. Reappeared that on the 12th inst, complainant was taking the animals to the Papanui pound, and when he had arrived near the place defendant ran up and drove them back. Previous to this two of defendant’s pigs hud been impounded by complainant. The rescue was not a very serious one, and Ids W orship dismissed the case, but ordered defendant to pay the costs, £1 Is. Civil Cases. —Trustees in Murray’s Estate v Collins ; claim, £7 15s 2d, Judgmentsummons ; Air H. N. Nalder for plaintiff ; there being no appearance of defendant, a warrant was issued. Scott v Thomson; claim, 64 12s ; Air H. N. Naldcr for defendant ; the claim was for wages as cook on board the ketch Unity; Judgment for defendant.
