Preserved Meats—The weakness perceptible at the date of our previous reports has since become more pronounced, and there lias been a derided falling off in the demand, not only for Australian,but American descriptions, supplies of the hitler having been received on a lar«-0 scale. The decline on boiled mutton is fully ?,d°por lb., and beef is almost nominal. The demand for compressed corn heel', which has hitherto met with ready sale, has experienced a decline as al about Did per lb. It is dear, in comparison with fresh meat. Lirge quantities of frozen beef continue to lie imported from America, and are attracting a good deal.if public attention.
