SITTINGS IN BANCO. Tuesday, April 17. (Before His Honor Mr Justice Johnston.) His Honor sat in Banco at 11 a.m. MOORE V. BREWER. In this case, on the application of Mr Cowlishaw, fourteen days were allowed to defendant to appear to defend the action. CONNAL AND ANOTHER V. BIRCH. This case, which was for an order to issue an injunction, stood over by consent. "WASTE LANDS BOARD ACT AND RE JAMES BRUCE. This was a special case stated for the opinion of his Honor. After argument, the Court took time to consider. DISTILLATION ACT AND RE JOHN HAMILTON. In this ease Mr Harper had obtained a rule nisi returnable at this sitting, calling on the gaoler at Timaru to show cause why a habeas should not issue. The case was now argued, and his Honor gave judgment discharging the rule. GEORGE V SLADE. Judgment was delivered herein, allowing the appeal with costs. IN CHAMBERS. PAIN A' POTTER. On the application of Mr Cowlishaw, the issues herein were settled, and the trial fixed to take place by special jury at Timaru at the June sittings. AVILL OF MANUEL CALO, DECEASED. Mr J. S. Williams applied for an order granting probate to Bridget Calo, aa sole executrix. His Honor made the order. NEEVE AND ANOTHER V CHALMERH. Mr George Harper applied for an order for leave to enter up judgment in default of plea. His Honor made an order entering up judgment for £lOlO. HARRISON AND ANOTHER V PALMER. In this case an order was made enlarging the time to plead by fourteen days.
