MAGISTRATES' COURTS.

CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, April 18. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.] Drunk and Bisorderly.—John Cunningham, for this offence, was fined 60s. Breach of the Peace.—For this offence, in view of a constable, John Williamson was fined 10s. Henry Redwood was charge with assaulting William Robinson on the previous evening. Mr Thomas appeared for Mr Redwood, and applied for an adjournment of the case fill Saturday, at the same time expressing his belief that a compromise would be arrived at. The police put in a certificate from Br. Turnbull, stating that Mr Robinson was unable to attend. Case adjourned till Saturday. A charge against Reuben Collins, for committing a breach of the peace in view of a constable, was dismissed. Housebreaking. Peter Christie w; s charged with entering a house in Merivale lane. The case was adjourned till to-morrow.
