Football. —The fine weather on Saturday wiis the menus of inducing a large number of members of the Christchureh Football Club to assemble on C'ranmer square, when the season was successfully opened by a scratch match, North v .South oi' Cashel street. The North mustered twenty players against twenty-eight of their opponents, all of whom seemed to enter into the game with considerable spirit, and a most enjoyable match finally terminated in favour of the Northerners by three touch-downs to one, no goal being obtained by cither side.
