THE DISQUALIFICATION OF FISHHOOK. (By Telegraph.) Oamaru, April 9. There being a feeling of dissatisfaction at the decision of the stewards at the late race meeting when Fishhook was disqualified, Mr O’Brien to-day sent a letter to the stewards asking them to reconsider their decision. A meeting of stewards thereupon took place to consider the letter. After considerable discussion, in which it was pointed out that, even though O’Brien could show that his jockey was to blame, ho must be held responsible for the act ®f [his servant, it was resolved, “That this meeting docs not deem it necessary to review the decision arrived at at once on the course.” O.
