CANTERBURY EWE FAIR.

The above fair was held yesterday at the grounds of the Agricultural and Pastoral Association. Though some _of the entries had not come forward in time the various classes were well represented by stock sent in by Canterbury and Southern breeders, who always figure prominently in the prizelist at our annual exhibitions. The attendance of buyers was limited, and only average prices were obtained. The following table shows the principal lots purchased at auction though many of the pens were subsequently disposed of privately; among these Mr E. Mitchell sweeping one line of forty-nine Lincoln ewes bred by Messrs Sutton Bros. EWES. LEICESTERS.
