SAILED. March R—Courier, ketch, 31 tons, Sinclair, for Pigeon Bay. The s.s. Wanaka arrived at 10.30 o'clock this morning from Dunedin, via Akaroa. She sails for Wellington, Tauranga, Poverty Bay, and Auckland this afternoon. The s.s. Alhambra will sail for Melbourne, via South, this afternoon. The s s Rotor.ia, Captain Macfarlane, left Sydney on 21st February, at 6 p in., experienced stron" easterly winds throughout the passage, and arrived at Auckland at? p.m. 26th ; sailed again at 6 v m on the 27th, and encountered strong head witr s'and sea to Napier, which delayed her arrival there till 6 a.m. on Ist March ; left again at 12.45 ■p m same day, had line weather to Cape Palliser, thence 6trong S.W. gale, and arrived at Wellington at 8 a.m. on the 2nd; left again at 6.15 p.m. and had strong N W. wind to Kaikouras, and thence light southerly to arrival at D. 45 a.m. on Saturday, Ihe Kotorua was berthed at Ihe Screw-pile jetty, and brought 20 tons cargo. She sailed for Port Chalmers at 3.40 p.m. on Saturday, ue thank Mr Pringle. the purser, for files and report. The Floral Star, a handsome Peterhead schooner, 240 tons register, arrived here on Saturday morning from Wellington in ballast. Hrr master, Captain Evans, informs us that Bhe went from Adelaide to Wellington with a cargo of breadstuffs, and comes here in ballast to load barley lor Adelaide for Messrs Cuff and Graham. The lollowiug is the report—Left Adelaide February 4th, and had fine weather passage to Wellington, arriving there on the 2ist; discharged and sailed for this port at 8 pra on Thursday ; had northerly breeze all the way down, and anchored at Heads on Friday night, being towed up to anchorage on Saturday morning by p.s. Titan. The topßail schooner Cleopatra, Captain Coulter, from Napier, arrived here yesterday morning, having left on the 27th ult with a light A. W. wind, which held till Thursday, when the vessel was off Castle Point. A northerly breeze followed, and held till following day when oft' Kaikouras; thence light and variaole winds were experienced till arrival. The Cleopatra comes in ballast to Mr C. W. Alhambra, Captain Muir, left Saudridge at 2.15 p.m on the 22nd, cleared the Heads at 5.3 u p.m, passed the Sisters at noon on the 23rd; experienced light variable winds throughout; arrived off Hokitika, at 12 15 a m on the 28th, left at 10.30 a.m; arrived at Greymouth at 12.20 p.m, left at 1.30 p m same day; arrived at Nelson at U. 30 a.m on the Ist, left at 1145 pru eame night; arrived at Wellington at 11.15 a m on the 2ud, left at 1 30 p.m on the 3rd ; arrived at Lyttelton at 9.50 a.m on the 4th, and was berthed at the screw Pile Jetty. She brings 32 tons of cargo for this port, and sails for Melbourne via Dunedin and Blurt this afternoon. We thank purser for report and Melbourne files. 1 he schooner Arthur Wakefield, Captain Curran, left Havelock on Thursday the Ist inst, with a N W. breeze, passing Cape Campbell on the following day, and Kaikouras same evening, arriving off the Heads early on Saturday morning, and having a westerly breeze thence till arrival at anchorage at 8 a.m same day. The ketch Sarah and Mary, Captain Russell, from Picton, arrived in harbor at 2 p.m on Saturday, having left on Thursday afternoon and experienced lioht N. and N.E. winds down the coast, Cape Campbell having been passed on Friday morning, and the Kaikouras same evening. This pretty little vessel lias made a smart round trip this time. Her run irom here to Napier during the last sou'wester only occupied 42 hours. The Excelsior schoouer, Captain Joiner, left Port Chalmers on Wednesday evening, with a *resh S.E wind, which held till making the Peninsula following night, when it veered to N.W, and continued so till arr val at midday yesterday. The schooner Kenilworth, Captain McDonald, reports leaving Auckland at 8 p m on February 24tfi with a light N.E breeze; rounded East Cape on the 26th, and passed Cape Palilser on Friday, 31arch 2nd ; that night the breeze shitted to S.W, and blew hard a few hours, after which it again veered to N.E, and continued from that quarter till arrival at the Heads at 1 p.m on Saturday ; anchored there that night and ran up harbor yesterday morning before the north-easter. The Spec, schooner, Captain Daniel, left Wanganuionthe 26th February with a strong N. wind, which carried her to the Straits, and shifted to the S.W on Wednesday last at 10 p.m, obliging the vessel to run into Port Underwood, where sue lay for twenty-eight hours, then getting underweigh to a light N. wind, which held till arrival in harbor on Saturday morning at 730 a.m. The Spec is in ballast, and comes here to load produce for Wanganui. The following vessels, viz:—The John Knox, for Sydney; the Sea Spray, for Newcastle; the Julius vogel, for Wellington; and the Advance, for Greymouth, sailed with the sou' wester that sprang up on Saturday night. The Warwickshire waa towed to the inside berth at the Gladstone Pier on Saturday morning, and commences her discharge this day. The Lucy James, ketch, put in here yesterday, wind bound. She is irom Heathcote, bound to Pelorus Sound. AUCKLAND SHIPPING. The Bchooner Kate McGregor, Captain Matheson, cleared at Auckland for this port on February 25th with 70 tons doors, sashes, and mouldings, 150 nests drain pipes, and 12,000 feet sawn timber. Hie tailed on the following day. The schooner Sissy, Captain Bayldon.'is loading at the Shortland saw mills, for Lyttelton.
