MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday, February 10. (Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., R.M.) Drunk and Disorderly,— An inebriate who appeared for the first time, was fined 5s, and 2s cabhire ; Isaac Musgrave was fined 5s and W. H. Derry, 10s. Disobeying an Order. —Richard Searl charged on warrant with disobeying an order of the Court to contribute towards the support of his wife and family, was ordered to pay £3 arrears and 10s costs, in default fourteen days imprisonment. Using Obscene Language.— Nelly Hargreaves and Elizabeth Kent, charged with using obscene language in Phillipstown, were each fined 40s. LYTTELTON. Saturday, February !0, [Before W. Donald, Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness and Indecency.— John Thompson, arrested by Constable Devine, charged with these offences, was fined 20s, and ordered to pay Is 6d for cab-hire. Drunkenness. —William Wilson, arrested by Constable Devine, charged with the above, was fined 10s. Transfer of License. —An application for a transfer of the license of the Cambridge Hotel, from George M. Warne to E.Morgan, was adjourned until Monday.
