Salmon made 4, and was then easily caught by Southerton, Dorrington came next, soon caught at the wicket by Pooley for 1, Mace was then bowled by Hill, Cross was next, and given out, caught by Pooley. Knapp was next, and was bowled by Lillywhite first bail, Kennedy was bowled by Lillywhite. Lockett was next. He was bowled by Hill for 2, Kennedy fell a victim to Hill, a good catch off Lillywhite J , J. Salmon was next, and was soon bowled by Lillywhite, Blacklook followed, and was caught in slip by Hill. Edmunds followed, and put one to Shaw immediately, and retired. Speed was next in. Armitage was now bowled by Lillywhite. Mason was next, but Hill soon disposed of him with a Yorker. Russell now came. Speed got three to leg, and was then bowled by Hill. Foley, the last man, was then stumped'by Pooley off Lillywhite. The All England Eleven thus winning the match in one innings and 121 runs.
