Monday, January 15. Mails per Arawata will close as under : For the United Kingdom, via Southampton and Brindisi, at 1.20 p.m. ; late letters, 1.40 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, India, China, and the Fast, Western Australia, Suez, and Mediterranean ports, &c, at 1 p.m. ; late letters, 1.20 p.m. j For Otago and Australian colonies at 1.20 p.m. ; late letters, 1.40 p.m. For posting newspapers and book packets, 12.30 p.m. j 1 Money orders and registered letters at 12.20 p.m. [ Late letters for above mails can be posted in I the guard's van, Christchurch Railway staI tion, up to 2.30 p.m. port train, provided | such letters bear, in addition to the full l postage, a further single rate of postage as a "late fee."
For Kaikoura and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
