THE INQUEST.

The inquest was held this afternoon at the Hospital, before J. W. S. Coward, Esq., and a jury of which Mr H. Sawtell was foreman. After hearing the evidence the jury returned a verdict of "Accidental Death," adding a rider to the effect that the attention of the City Council should be drawn to the practice of several cabs leaving the stand when one was hailed.

The coroner said the inspector of detec tives would bring the fact of the violation of the bye-law before the City Council.
