AMUSEMENTS.
LYDIA HOWARDE BURLESQUE TROUPE. There was a good attendance at the Music Hall on Saturday evening, when "GirofieGirofla" was again repeated, and enthusiastically received. To-night the programme will consist of the second act of " GirotloGirolla," a miscellaneous concert, and "Trial by Jury," being for the especial benefit of Herr Sohott. During the concert Miss Howard© will sing "Lo ! here the Gentle Lark," with flute obligato; and Misses Nye and Navaro will also contribute two solos, the former singing "The Echo," with flute obligato; and the latter lady the beautiful ballad " Waking." Herr Schott will also appear for the first time in Christchurch as an oboe soloist, and play a selection of I English, Irish, and Scotch airs, whilst the band will play two grand overtures, including " Guillamme Tell," with oboe solo ;md flute obligato. The entertainment will be under the patronage of Sir Cracroft and Lady Wilson and the Orchestral Society. The operatic burlesque of " La Sonnambula" will be produced to-morrow evening.
