FATAL ACCIDENT.
An accident attended with fatal consequences occurred this afternoon just at 3 p.m. It appears that a female with some children was crossing the road opposite Hobbs and Go’s when a cab came suddenly round the corner, knocked her down and the wheel passed over her chest, killing her. We have before spoken of the gross carlessness of cab drivers in going round the comers of streets crowded with people, and hope now that a death has occurred some means will be taken to stop such an evil practice.
