AMUSEMENTS.

LYDIA HOWARDE BURLESQUE TROUPE. The Lydia Howarde Troupe presented the programme of the previous night at the Music Hall last evening. “ The Trial by Jury ” again went most successfully, whilst the scenes from “The School for Scandal” were also exceedingly well enacted, and enthusiastically received by the audience. Mr Cary contributed in splendid voice “The Slave Ship,” which was loudly greeted. “The Three Musketdears,” capitally performed, concluded the entertainment. The same programme will be repeated to-night for the last time. On Monday evening Lecocq’s new and successful burlesque, “ Giroflc-Girofla ” will be produced for the first time in Christchurch, and should draw good houses.
