General Tchernaieff urges the insurgents to a continuance of the war, as there is a marked improvement in the efficiency of the troops. The Servians report a successful attack upon the Turks on the right bank of the Mororra. The insurgents occupied the Turkish trenches, and Mukhtar succeeded in reinforcing Trefinkel. THE SUEZ MAIL. Sydney. September 15. The Suez mail has arrived at Adelaide. The news is uninteresting. The exports for the month ending July to New Zealand are over £270,000. THE DANDENONG. A portion of the cabin fittings of the Dandenong were found to-day in the vicinity of Jervia Bay. SHIPPING; The City of San Francisco arrived last night. She was not quarantined. She caught the tail of the cyclone, which protracted her voyage. Arrived to-day—Wakatipu. COMMERCIAL. Kerosene, 2s 3d to 2a 4d; Hennessy's case, 30s 6d ; quarters, 7s 6d; Adelaide flour, £ll 10s te £l2 15s; wheat, 5s 4d ; New Zealand, 5s ; oats, nomiual; rice unchanged; candles, 9f d to lOd. INTERPROVINCIAL. Wellington, September 16. The ship Waipa arrived home from Lyttelton in eighty-six days. Dunedin, September 15. A meeting at Mosgiel carried resolutions in effect similar to other meetings re political situation, and also one regretting that Mr Donald Reid should have seen fit to have changed his opinions on the land question. Mr H. Carrick has been nominated for the Peninsula electoral district seat in the Provincial Council. Government is to be asked to sanction the formation of a fire brigade in connection with the railway station. Roberts beat Weston last night by 180 points. The champion's highest score was 189, or 54 in exeess of any previous break in Dunedin. He also made 39 consecutive spot shots in one break. Wheat comes forward very slowly. Prime milling samples, which are wanted, command up to 5s 6d per bushel. Barley is still almost unsaleable ; milling has sold at 2s 6d, but malting qualities have not been dealt in. Oats—stocks are very light, and all good samples arriving meet with ready sale at 2s to 2s Id for good feed, and 2a 2d to 2s 3d for milling and seed samples. The railway charge for the conveyance of wool is reduced from three halfpence to one penny per bale. . Dunedin, September 16.
Weston beat Roberts last night, reciving 600 out of a 1000, by 94 points. He plays him to-night receiving 550 points. Bluff, September 16. Arrived Arawata, from Melbourne. Passengers for Lyttelton, saloon Miss Freer, Mrs McQuarrie, Miss McMullen, Mrs and Miss Dobson, Messrs Parsons, Wicker, Edwards, ten in steerage, and 65 tons cargo. She leaves for Dunedin at 4 p.m.
