AMUSEMENTS.
THE LYDIA HOWARDE TROUPE. The “ Trial by Jury ” and “ Trovatore ” were repeated at the Music Hall last evening. Both pieces went remarkably well, and gave great satisfaction to the audience. The parts in the former burlesque were cast as before, and were all well enacted by their respective representatives, who came in for a large share of applause. As Leonora in “ Troyatore,” Miss Navaro played with great spmt and feeling, and her singing was greatly admired: that sparkling air, “Never more, being given by that lady in a truly artistic manner, whilst her singing and acting in the Miserere scene found great favor with the audience. Miss Nye, as the Count, played her part to perfection, and her dancing was all that could be wished for. Messrs Towle, Power, Cary, and the other members of the company were highly amusing in their parts, and were loudly greeted by the audience. To-night “Trial by Jury”and “Lucia di Lammermoor ” will be presented.
