AMUSEMENTS.
THE LYDIA HOWARDS TROUPE. There wag a crowded house at the Music Hall last night, when “ La Chatte Blanche” was again placed on the stage. The piece went exceedingly well, and the singing incidental to the burlesque was very fairly rendered the selections from “ Madame Angot” especially so. Miss Howarde sang and acted the part of the Prince with great spirit and judgment, whilst the Misses Navaro and Nye were, as usual, in their respective parts, equally as successful, if we except the fact of the former lady suffering from indisposition. Mr Towle was in good voice, and sang his music very efficiently, and the same may be said of Messrs Carey and the quartette party, although there was a slight tendency to hurry the music. The same programme will be submitted this evening, and as “The White Cat” will be shortly withdrawn to make room for “ Ivauhoe,” those who have not as yet witnessed the burlesque should take an early opportunity of doing so.
