The schooner Fairlie is loading produce for Auckland at No 3 Wharf. The Elizabeth Conway and Alert were berthed alongside Peacock's wharf yesterday to discharge their cargoes of timber. The New Zealand Shipping Company's iron clipper ship Wanlock, Captain Mcßride, is now on her way down from Auckland. Immediately on her arrival she will be berthed at the Gladstone pier, to load for London. Messrs Dalgety, Ducroz and Co, writing on June 9th to Messrs Dalgety, Nichols and Co, say—" At the moment of closing, the Langstone is telegraphed off the Coast." The s.s. Maori, Captain Malcolm, arrived in Lyttelton at 7 a.m yesterday. From Mr Matthias, the purser, we learn that she left Port Chalmers on the 29that5p.m, and steamed up the coast against a strong N.E. breeze, accompanied with mist and rain, and heavy head sea, reaching Akaroa at 11 p.m on the 30th; after discharging and taking in cargo, sailed for Lyttelton at 1.15 a.m on the 3lst, arriving as above. Was berthed at the screw pile jetty, and atter taking aboard 50 tons cargo, sailed on her trip round the island North about at 5 p.m yesterday.. The barque signalled on Sunday afternoon proved to be the Nonpareil barque, Caplain Brent, from Newcastle, as we expected. She has had a long paesage of 26 days, during which she has experienced a succession of unfavorable winds. Left Newcastle on the 4th, with light easterly wind and fine weather, which continued till the 10th, taking the ship as far as 42deg S; a strong S.E- gale then set in, accompanied with heavy squalls; it lasted without intermission till the 15th, the vessel being then 200 miles from Cape Farewell; thence had light N.E. weather to making the Cape, 16 days out. Had a fine run through the Straits; but when off Cape Terawiti met a heavy southerly gale, and had to run back under Steven's Island for shelter. Lay there till the 25th, when a start was made with a light S.E. breeze and fine weather; beat as far as Cape Campbell, which was reached on the 29tb, when a fresh breeze from E.N.E. sprang up, carrying the vessel into port on Sunday night. Was in company with the brig Moa. on the 28th and 29th, from Newcastle for Timaru, 31 days out. The Mary Ann Annison, Captain Hughes, left Newcastle for this port three days before the Nonpareil. She will be berthed at the Tunnel Wharf to discharge her coals.
