Thursday, July 27. Supplementary mails for despatch per s. s. City of New York will close at 7 a.m. Late letters for the mail steamer can be posted in the guard's van at the railway station up to 8.45 a.m., provided that, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee is affixed to each letter. For Wellington and Kaikoura, per Matau, at 4.45 p.m. Friday, July 28. For Otago, per Wellington. For Northern ports, per Taranaki. Saturday, July 29. For United Kingdom, via Brindisi and Southampton.
