The barques Alexandre and Arrogante from this port arrived at Newcastle on July 10th. The barque Joliba, and brig Sea Spray, and barque Australian Sovereign, arrived at Newcastle; the two former on the Bth ult, >nd the other on the 9th from this port. The Clyde went ashore inside the Wairoa bar on Friday last, on hsr trip up to Wanganui. She went up the Wairoa for fresh water and drifted ashore. She was got off after discharging part of her cargo, and was not injured. The barque Stillman B. Allan arrived at Newcastle on July sth from New Zealand. The barque Nonpariel left Newcastle for this port on the 4th ult, with 600 tons of coal and ten empty The barque Natal Queen was on the berth for Lyttelton at Hobart Town when the mail left. The Melbourne ■• Age" of the 17th says:—" The s.s Kingarooma this[trip has excelled all her former fast passages, making the passsge from Bluff" Harbor, New Zealand, in three days twenty-two and a half hours, the fastest on record. Messrs M'Meckan, Blackwood and Co'a s.s. Arawata, Captain Underwood, arrived yesterday at 9.15 a m., and was berthed at the Gladstone Pier. She comes from Melbourne, via Bluff, and left Hobson's Bay at 2 p.m. on the 17th instant. Cleared Port Phillip Heads at 4.45 p.m., and passed Swan Island at 10 a.m. next day. She experienced light southerly winds and fine weather during the run across the Middle Ground, and passed the Solander at 3 p.m. on the 21st, arriving at the Bluff at 8.30 p.m, after an excellent run of four days five hours. Discharged 60 tons of cargo, shipped 240 Backs of wheat, and left for Port Chalmers at 5 p.m. on the 22nd, arriving at Port Chalmers on the following day. Left at 4 p.m. on the 24th, and arrived as above. Discharged 75 tons cargo; took on board 20 tons, and sailed for Wellington and Nelson last night. We thank Mr Miller for report and exchanges. Messrs M'Meckan and Blackwood's s.s. Alhambra arrived yesterday, and was berthed outside the Arawata at the Gladstone Pier.
