POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Wednesday, July 26. For Chatham Islands, at 3.30 p.m. For Kaikoura, per Matau, at 4.45 p.m. Mails per City of New York will close as under: For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 9 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, America, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, &c, &c, &c, at 9 p.m. For Northern Ports of New Zealand at 9 p .m. Registered letters and money orders up to 5 p.m. Newspapers can he posted up to 830 p.m. Thursday, July 27. Supplementary mails for despatch per s. s. City of New York will close at 7 a,m. Late letters for the mail steamer can be posted in the guard’s van at the railway station up to 8.45 a.m., provided that, in addition to the full postage, a further single rate of postage as a late fee is affixed to each letter.
