There has been projects lately on foot lor the introduction of Chinese in Egypt, and proposals have been made to the Khedive to send people to China to organise a system of" emigration ; but he objects that the introduction of Chinese will be very expensive, and that there will be much trouble in enforcing their contracts. If they come of their own accord he will be vary glad to employ them, and settle them upon unoccupied land.
