Thursday, June 29, Mails per City of San Francisco will close as under : For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 2 p.m ; late letters, 2.20 p.m. For United States of America, Canada, Fiji and Sandwich Islands, Continent of Europe, &c, at 1.40 p.m ; late letters, 2 p.m. For Northern Forts of New Zealand at 2 p.m ; late letters, 2.20 p.m. For money orders and registered correspondence 12.30 p.m. Posting newspapers and books at 1 p.m. Late letters for the above mails-can be posted at the railway station, Christchurch, up to 3 p.m. The steamer is appointed to sail at 4 p.m. Late letters for the above mails must not be posted in the iron pillar-receiver at the railway station. For Otago, per s.s. Easby, at 3.20 p.m; late letters, 3.40 p.m; railway station, 4 p.m, train. For Otago, per s.s, Wellington, at 11.35; late letters, 11.55; railway station, 12.25 train. Saturday, June 30. For United Kingdom, via Suez and Brindisi, Australian Colonies, and Southern Ports, per Arawata. Hour of closing in a future notice, J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
