MAGISTRATES’ COURTS.
CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday, June 28. (Before G. L. Mellisli, Esq, R.M.) Drunkenness. —Margaret Dempsy, an old offender, was fined 20s. Thomas Dowding and James Moore were each fined 10s, and an inebriate, who appeared for the first time, 5s and cab hire. Illegally on Premises. —William Gallagher was charged with being found illegally on the premises of Mr H. Matson. Cashel street. The prosecutor did not appear, and accused was discharged with a caution. Larceny. —A charge against Mary McCanley for the larceny of a dress was adjourned until to-morrow, as the accused had escaned from the depot, when allowed out of the cell for a few moments.
