AMUSEMENTS.
THE LYDIA. HOWARDS TROUPE,
The inclemency of the weather last evening no doubt prevented many pleasureseekers flocking in crowds to see “ Chilperic” at the Canterbury Music Hall, the attendance being by no means so good as the excellence of the programme deserved. Mdlle. Novarro and Miss Lydia Howarde improve considerably bn acquaintance, and the several airs incidental to the piece were excellently rendered. “Chilperic” will be repeated this evening, and as this is the only place of amusement where a happy evening may be spent, we hope to see a good house.
