The marriage service was read by the Rev Mr Taylor, the incumbent, and afterwards interpreted by Mr Watson, superintendent of the Deaf and Dumb and Blind Asylum, on the Newtown road. The happy pair were driven from the church m a weil-appoimeii carriage to!lowed by seven or eight crowded carri .ges. It may be mentioned that ten ye u'o ago a marriage between two deaf amt dumb persons was celebrated in the same district, and the parties are now living at Cook’s P.iver with a family of several young children around them.”
