POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Wednesday, May 3. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m.; railway star tun, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikoura and Northern Ports, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. Friday, May 5. Mails per Colima will close at under : For the Continent of Europe, Fiji, and Sandwich Is'ands, British America, and the United States, 9.15 a.m. For the TTmted Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 9.30 a.m. ; late letters, at 10 a.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, at 9.30 a.m. ; late letters, 10 a.m. Posting registered correspondence,- and obtaining money orders, Thursday, 5 p.m. Newspapers and book packets, for all ports, Friday, 9 a. m. Late letters for mails per Colima can be posted in the guard's van, railway station, up to 10.30 a.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
