Walker, who ha» placed his carrier pigeons at our. disposal, weave enabled to give our readers’ the result of to-day’s racing. The attendance was very fair, though not so large as might be expected. The first race was got off with commendable punctuality. The Trial Plate only brought out two— Templeton and Rob Roy. The following arc the details of the various events: — Trial Plate of 100 sovs; entrance 5 sovs ; forthree-year-olds and upwards. Maidens at time of starting allowed, for 3 yrs, 51bs; 4 yrs, lOlbs ; 5 yrs and upwards, Hlbs. Winners of 100 sovs in one event since Nov Ist, 1875. to carry 71bs penalty; of 200 sovs, lOlbs ; of 300 sovs, 14lbs. One and a half miles weights-for-age. Distance, one mile and a quarter, Mi; Luims b g Rob Roy 7 , 4 yrs, B°t 411)3, (A Ly ford) 1 Mr Delamain’s b h Templeton, 5 yrs, Hat 101’bs fJ- Watty; 2 Betting —lO to lon Templeton. Rob lioy made the pace very hut from the start. Templeton tried to corns at the corner, but, though under the whip, could not do it, Rob Roy winning by five lengths. Time, 2min 2secs. St Legee Stakes of 100 sovs. added to a sweepsmke of 10 sovs each, h ft for acceptors. Colts, Bst lOlbs ; fillies and geldings, Bst Tibs. 2 sovs on nomination ; 3 sovs on general entry day of the Autumn Meeting ; 5 sovs at -1 p.m, on fche day of the race. St Legcr course. Hr F. W. Lyforcl) 0 Mr \V. C. Webb’s bik c, by JTaducer— Tantrums ® Betting—G to 4on the field. After two false starts the lot got away •well, the Ada colt ami Dead Heat making tlic running. At the corner turning into straight Dead Heat took a long swerve, and Ray took advantage of it. _ A capital race ensued all down the straight, hair Agues getting to the inside. By Ray’s generalship the Ada colt was lauded a winner by a neck. 'J ime, Imiu 22secs. 'J UADESMEN S PLATE HANDICAP, of 100 sovs, for three-year olds and upwards, added to a sweepstakes of 7 sovs each ; 2 i-ovs on nomination, 5 sovs on acceptance. Distance, one mile.
