POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the Following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Thursday, April 13. For Wellington only, per Eingarooma, at 1.00 p.m. ; late, 2.10 p.m. ; railway guard's van, 2.30 p.m. train. Local mails, usually despatched on Friday morning, will close at Christchuvch on Thursday, 13th, at 8.30 p.m. For Westland, at 8.30 p. m. There will be no late mail Friday morning. The delivery window at the Christchurch office will be open for delivery of local mails from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. Residents in the city can obtain their correspondence on application, as there will be no delivery by letter carriers on Good Friday. Friday, April 14. A post-office holiday. The post-office, Christchurch, will be closed. Local and other mails will be sorted into the private boxes at 9 p.m. Saturday, April 15. For Otago, per Hawea. For Australian colonies and Southern pot, per Eingarooma. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
