Friday, March 17. Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alteratious:— For Akaroa and Timaru, per Beautiful Star, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m.; railway station, 12.25 p.m. train. For Otago, Newcastle, and Sydney, per Easby, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 12.25 p.m. train. Saturday, March 18. For Otago, per Hawea, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway station, 12.25 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonics, per Ringarooma, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2 50 p.m. train. For Kaiakonra and Wellington, per Tui, at 4.45 p.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
