Mr W. M. Rossetti proposes to bring out, through the publishing house of Ward, Lock and Tyler, a volume to be named “ Rossetti’s Lives of British Popular Poets.” The Senate of the High Court of State at Berlin has granted the application of the public prosecutor to indict Count Arnim for treason as the probable author of the pamphlet recently published at Zurich under the title “ Pro Nihilo.” The German Emperor, in a recent interview with the late President of the Imperial Parliament, Herr Simson, authorised the latter to declare the remarks and observations attributed to him in the pamphlet “ Pro Nihilo” to be inventions, he never having uttered them. Herr Simson was also authorised to state that the alleged conversation between himself and Count Arnim, which is in the pamphlet reported to have turned on the subject of Prince Bismarck’s spite against distinguished persona in the public service, never took place, mvrrtisr meats.
