POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Wednesday, March 8. For Dunedin and Port Chalmers, per Taranaki, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway station, 12.25 p m. train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Hawea, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. Thursday, March 9. Mails per Granada will close as under : For Northern Ports of New Zealand, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters 2.10 p.m. For United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, America, &c, &c, via San Francisco, at 1.30 p.m. ; late letters, 1.50 p.m. For Fiji and Sandwich Islands, 1.30 p.m. For posting newspapers, up to 1 p.m. Registered letters and money orders, at 12.30. Late letters for the above mails can be posted at the railway station, in the guard's van, up to 2.30 p.m. train. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
