POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Monday, March 6. For Akaroa, Timaru, and Dunedin, per Beautiful Star, at 11.35 a. in. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway station, 12.25 pm, train. For Northern Ports of New Zealand, per Phcebe, at 1.50 p.m. ; late letters, 2.10p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Otago and Australian Colonies, per Alhambra, at 1.50 p.m. j late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Kaikoura, per Tui, at 3.30 p.m., specially addressed letters only. The next English mail, via San Francisco, will leave Christchurch on March 9th. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
